I’m in favor of having less boards. You don’t need as many to start. Let the community grow and they’ll decide what to discuss.

Yotsuba, come out to play!

I will advertise on dizzychan
>>38gotta make image requests work first. highest priority imo. also, adding /vg/ before we even have a /v/ and before /b/ even has 100 posts seems odd (and someone said posting new threads doesn't work, so i need to figure that out).>>40"verify your email" at .com/signinyou don't actually have to verify your email, you can put any email in there and it should just give you a button that skips the whole thingand the timer should at least not be that fucking awful 900s, but i can reduce it further if needed

>>35There's both sides to that. I was there on April 1st, and I must admit that felt like >le true imageboard experienceAt the same time, I liked other boards just for their contained nature, which made them feel like an abusive home you cannot help but love regardless. Then again, maybe altchans should take that role from now on, and let 4chan become the "common lounge" for everyone to come together. These could be exciting times for the future of imageboards.
>>44Dare I say... checked?
>>43Can you not just eliminate that asinine bullshit?Fucking captchas too, while you're at it.
>>45it's chans, all the way down>>47i can, but realistically i'll probably instantly find out why those were put into place and at the least i'll have to replace them with something else>>33checked masonic niggerposter>reddit spacealso, this is test of the new database shenanigans: if i upload an image, it should cause a trigger to then insert an image request row into an image request table, with most of the same sort of data used in the janitor reports toolhoping i can just copy most of that to make the image request "pipeline/flow/mechanism/process"

>>54now you can't prove it, but it might be very valuable for me to know that that is a potential "prevent people from posting images switch"imgboard.php, ~:5079make that if block fail and people who aren't "has_level()" can't post if their post has images
minny please add /v/, it is the most influencing imageboardand /vg/ so refugees go there while proprietary 4chan is down
>>61AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHSAVE ME ADVERTISE-SAMA
>>60https://boards.dizzychan.com/v/thread/1#q1might workthe way the backend here works is strange, threads get post data via json requests and update pretty much instantly, but catalog and imgboard pages have to be "built" otherwise new threads won't appearso you need to run a build command repeatedly or build manually for threads to appear, but not postswhy not make threads appear as dynamically as posts do?
>>35>4ch>8ch>hybridSplit the difference and do what old really old 4chan did, don't let users create boards but have user moderated boards. You stay the final veto (you can force mods out and recruit new ones from the board, or ultimately delete a board that's too far gone) but the community mostly steers itself.

>>11>>33>>44>>55>>66...dubsYour fortune: Good Luck
Lambdaplusjs admin here, good luck on your project. I noticed some of your posts about captchas where you were trying to make them harder to solve for AI. That's not the only thing you should be considering. On lambda+js we get a lot of spam from a guy who runs another Tor imageboard, and at one point he was doing continuous automated spam. When I tried to make the captcha harder to automate, it didn't help. What did help a little was switching it to something slightly different from the usual "type in the letters". I suspect the guy had been paying a captcha service to solve the captchas. These generally cost $1 for 1000 captchas, which would be expensive if you were spamming 4chan, but not particularly burdensome for spamming a slow board. That said, the captcha didn't stop the spam, but the spam did start taking sleep breaks, so I think he's solving it himself now. The latest system that sends posts to /pending/ if the post rate is too high has been more effective in slowing his spam down. (Really instead of moving the post to /pending/ it ought to minimize the post in place, but I haven't gotten around to improving it yet.) Also, testing posting from Tor.
everybody was kung foo fighting
>>90"type in the letters" can still be used for general captchas, i think, but the focus has to be on distoring the features that the computer vision can read (lines, edges, curves, paths, direction, grouping, etc.) instead of distorting the letters but keeping their features intact (a '5' shape is still a '5' shape to a computer even if it's wobbly, but if you require gestalt perception (not sure if that's the right or even a real phrase) to see the '5' a computer might be fucked)>or he's just tossing pennies at jeets to spam your shit and no AI is involved whatsoevertry making the captchas anti-jeet in nature and see what happens>"when you finish unloading your shopping cart, where do you return it?" filters for white people
>>98How do you expect this project to ever go anywhere when you’re a white supremacist who wants a safe space for his hate speech? You may have a 160 iq but you’re still a retard
>>99do you think white people will manually solve captchas more cost efficiently than indians?
